Our Mission

As a federally recognized charity, we at Baba’s Feed Project are driven by our mission to nourish the less fortunate in developing countries. Born out of the urgent call to serve the most vulnerable, we are more than just a non-profit that feeds people in need; we are a lifeline for those who face the harsh reality of economic shutdowns and the inability to provide for their loved ones.

We believe in the power of a warm meal and the assurance of a helping hand. Your generous donations translate directly into food, warmth, and essential items for families caught in the grip of poverty.

As a charity that feeds people in need, we operate on the fundamental principle that everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious meals. We strategically utilize each donation to maximize its impact, ensuring that every single dollar contributes to providing sustenance to those who need it most.

By giving to Baba’s Feed Project, you’re not just making a donation; you’re empowering change and fostering resilience among communities in dire need.

Donate now, and help us bring a ray of sunshine in the lives of those who need it the most.

Here’s How You Can Help

Every dollar feeds people directly, powering meals through a fully volunteer-run, mission-first organization.

Provide 13 essential food items that nourish and sustain a family for a full week.

Protect families from harsh winter cold with clothing and essentials designed for survival.

Help children stay safe and comfortable during extreme heat with breathable clothing and footwear.

Baba’s Feed Project, Inc.

Baba’s Feed Project, Inc. is a federally recognized charity and has been awarded 501(c )(3) status. We are also incorporated in the state of CA as a non-profit entity.
Baba’s Feed Project was created to purchase food and deliver food kits to families throughout Northern India who are deprived of the opportunity to work for survival. You can read about the founders and our organization here.

Everyone deserves the right to have their basic needs fulfilled.

We believe that sustainable work is locally-led. Along with implementing community-owned feeding projects, we dream of providing education and employment opportunities.

Baba’s Ashram Fed Everyone

R

Baba Neem Karoli was a much-beloved Indian saddhu whose teachings were quite simple. He told his devotees to “Love, serve and feed people,” and said, “God comes to the hungry as food.”

R

His ashram fed everyone who came to visit, and although he left his body in 1973, devotees worldwide still honor and worship him. The founders of this organization – from New Zealand, India, and the U.S. – are among those devotees, and were inspired to live his teachings.

We know that when people aren’t scrambling to find scraps to eat, life feels a little less stressful. They can even think a bit about their children’s future. They can dare to dream. With full bellies, everyone can stay healthier, and life is a little easier. Our feed kits can help.

Baba’s Food Kits Mean A Family Can Eat Well

Each kit costs $14. It includes wheat flour for making chapatis, rice and lentils, potatoes and green vegetables, sugar, cooking oil, turmeric, red chili, and, when available, fresh fruit like mangoes or bananas. Kits also provide washing detergent and soap. And there are always cookies as a treat for the children.

It’s a remarkable number: Only $14 US buys all that food for a hungry family for at least a week. And of course, if you choose, other kits will feed families for longer stretches of time.
In India, people greet each other with the word “Namaste,” which is a greeting of respect or honoring, the other. It can also be translated as “the Sacred in me recognizes the Sacred in you.”

Please join us in feeding the hungry people of Northern India. Namaste.
